Grounded in our purpose of Empowering People to Transform the Grid and guided by our core value of Respect for People, we are proud to introduce the S&C Empowering People Award, an expansion of the Powered by Diversity Award.

People are the heart of our industry. This award honors utilities that demonstrate leadership in empowering people through three distinct pillars: workforce expansion, talent development, and community engagement.

Application Process

Eligibility: Open to all electric utilities, domestic or international.
Nominations: Utilities may nominate themselves or be nominated by industry partners.
Submission Process: Complete the form linked below. Completed applications must be received by the submission deadline to be considered.
Submission criteria: Submissions should relate to one or more of the following objectives.
- Workforce Expansion – Demonstrated commitment to attracting and building a future-ready workforce
- Talent Development – Programs that support employees to develop skills for the energy industry
- Community Engagement – Initiatives that connect organizations with the communities they serve
Deadline: Applications are due by 11:59 PM CT on December 31, 2025.
